The Hard Knox Roller Girls are winding down their home season and will be hosting their final double-header this Saturday, Sept. 9th at the Tri County Roll Arena in Oliver Springs, TN. Your Hard Knox Allstars will take the track first at 5:00pm. They’re going up against the Little City Rollergirls out of Johnson City, TN. It’s been four years since these two teams went head to head, the last time being in Johnson City at the Honky Tonk Stomp of 2013. Your Hard Knox Allstars pulled out a mere 5-point victory! Will this bout be just as close?! You’ll have to come out to see for yourself!
At 7:00pm the Hard Knox Brawlers will skate it out against the Demolition Dolls from Cookeville, TN in a co-ed mash up bout. This will be the Brawlers’ first time competing against the Demolition Dolls, so they are itching for some hard-hitting derby action. Who will be victorious? Be there to find out!
This weekend’s theme is “Cats vs. Dogs” so decide which way your tail wags and paint your face to tell the world! Don’t forget to bring a little spending money. The fine folks at the Tri County Roll Arena will be selling tasty treats out of their concessions stand, and this will be your last chance to grab some HKRG merch! Think ahead and start your holiday shopping now.
After the action is over, stick around for your chance to skate with your favorite skater. That’s right, admission to this double-header includes skate rental from the skating rink. The ladies of Hard Knox are looking forward to skating with you after the bouts conclude. Get an autograph and skate a lap or two with your derby hero! What better way to end the 2017 home season?! Make some memories that will last you until next season.
The Hard Knox Roller Girls are saddened by the recent tragedies caused by Hurricane Harvey and want to lend a helping hand. They will be collecting monetary donations during the bouts on Sept. 9th, and all monies collected will be sent to support hurricane relief efforts. The Hard Knox Roller Girls is a 501c3 non-profit organization. They are dedicated to providing community outreach through events, activities, and charity sponsorship. If you are feeling abundant, please make a donation. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

ABOUT HKRG – The Hard Knox Roller Girls (HKRG) is an all female flat track roller derby league located in Knoxville, TN. Founded in January of 2006, HKRG includes women representing all walks of life – students, mothers, wives, professionals, and everything in between – yet all maintain the same underlying spirit: that of a Warrior, a Woman, and a Winner. As a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), HKRG is a licensed non-profit organization that is skater owned and operated. The mission of the Hard Knox Roller Girls is to provide athletic entertainment while promoting the sport of roller derby. Our program provides regular supervised training, instruction, and competition that improve members’ individual athletic ability, self-discipline, and character while preparing to represent Knoxville at a national level. We are dedicated to providing community outreach through events, activities, and charity sponsorship. We are also advocates for similar roller derby leagues that seek to encourage the sport of roller derby nationally and internationally.
