Your Hard Knox Roller Girls (HKRG) are at it again. Hard hits and raw tenacity smack the floor in bout two of the 2016 10-year anniversary season! First off your Hard Knox Brawlers take on the Smoky Mountain Roller Girls (SMRG) of Bryson City, North Carolina at 5pm. Get ready for some exciting, nailing biting action. Your Brawlers are training hard and are ready to “Whip it and whip it good!” These teams ran the road together back in 2014 with a narrow win going to SMRG. Things change, teams change, and your Brawlers are ready to fight it out and take the win.
Your Hard Knox Allstars take the track against Appalachian Roller Girls (ARG) of Boone, NC at 7pm. The last interchange between these two teams was in 2013 with the win going to HKRG, a startling 140-point difference! HKRG has been fighting hard for 10 years now, currently ranked 119 out of 288. ARG started in 2010 and are currently ranked at 180. Rankings do not mean everything. Each night on the derby track is different. It’s all about desire and hard work. These teams are sure to feed your need for derby speed!
HKRG is celebrating A Decade of Derby and they want you to enjoy in all the fun! Come dressed up as your favorite derby skater for a chance to win free entry to the after party and a personalized photo of the team!
The night’s charity is the Autism Society of East Tennessee. The Autism Society is a community-based organization that improves the lives of all persons impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorders. They envision a community that supports and shows compassion to those affected by autism by providing accessibility through collaboration, education and support services.
Bring a nonperishable food donation for the Love Kitchen and get $2.00 off at the door.

ABOUT HKRG -The Hard Knox Roller Girls (HKRG) is an all female flat track roller derby league located in Knoxville, TN. Founded in January 2006, HKRG includes women representing all walks of life – students, mothers, wives, professionals, and everything in between – yet all maintain the same underlying spirit: that of a Warrior, a Woman, and a Winner. As a WFTDA league, HKRG is a licensed non-profit organization that is skater owned and operated. The mission of the Hard Knox Roller Girls is to provide athletic entertainment while promoting the sport of roller derby. Our program provides regular supervised training, instruction, and competition that improve members' individual athletic ability, self-discipline and character, while preparing to represent Knoxville at a national level. We are dedicated to providing community outreach through events, activities, and charity sponsorship. We are also advocates for similar roller derby leagues that seek to encourage the sport of roller derby nationally and internationally.
